New York City, 1975
I love Joel Meyorwitz's pictures capturing the energy of the bustling streets of New York. There is elements of chaos and busy people bringing the picture alive, however they are also carefully taken.I love how you can imagine a little story by looking at each individual engrossed in their own activities and thoughts, from those taking a slow stroll to those hurridly rushing past the steet corner.
Winter, Tuscany, 2002
This picture couldn't be more different to his NYC images, but the use of light and pastel-hues in this early morning mist is just wonderful. Utter perfection.
Hartwig House, Truro, 1976
I love the composition of the picture, and how only a tiny bit of a room is visable and all the many doors, one leading outside to what looks like a gorgeous summers day, making me want to go and explore the vintage looking house. The use of white and cream is the opposite of dull and boring, and instead creates a free and dreamy feel to the picture.
